The Matchability Score is a metric generated from publicly available data sources by means of a patented machine learning algorithm.

It takes into account the cumulative diversity of a large number of attributes that describe both vendors and contracts, and produces a precise quantification of the degree of compatibility and award potential between vendors, and Federal Departments and Agencies.

The Matchability Score sits at the very heart of the FedScore platform since it powers the Solicitation Feed by acting as a ranking criterion. Effectively, it provides access to a highly prioritized list of active solicitations for which your organization qualifies, organized in order of award potential.

The possible values of the Matchability Score range between 0 and 100. High values of the Matchability Score are indicative of commensurately higher award potential. Similarly, low values of the Matchability Score are indicative of commensurately lower award potential.

Regardless of past award history, if your organization is present in our database of vendors, you will be able to access your organization’s score for all possible Federal Departments and Agencies for which we have scores. Potential users will be able to confirm the presence of their organization in our database.

The fundamental nature of the insights provided by the Matchability Score never changes and is robust across governmental entities.

Regardless of whether or not your organization contracted with a particular federal entity during the time period whose award data was analyzed in order to produce the Matchability Scores, your specific Matchability Score is a reflection of the degree of compatibility and award potential between your organization and that governmental entity in relation to all other organizations that contracted with that federal entity during that time period.

Which Federal Departments and Agencies does FedScore have Matchability Scores for? We currently maintain a database of nearly 200,000 vendors. Each of these vendors has been scored against the following Federal Departments and independent Federal Agencies (and, in most cases, also against their constituent agencies).

It takes into account the cumulative diversity of a large number of attributes that describe vendors and produces a precise quantification of the degree of favorability presented by a hypothetical bidding scenario.

The FedScore PWin takes insight generation capabilities to the next level by bringing the power of cutting-edge quantitative technologies to scenario management for federal contracting.

The Scenario Manager enables you to construct potential bidding scenarios for a particular opportunity. A reactive interface provides you with the ability to add likely bidders from among your competition and dynamically generate PWins. The Scenario Manager also includes functionality for saving multiple scenarios per opportunity. Each saved scenario includes additional information, such as the total number of bidders, the baseline probability, and its deviation from the FedScore PWin. The baseline probability is the likelihood of success, assuming all participating bidders are equally qualified. The FedScore PWin does not make that assumption, because it accounts for both the different competencies across federal contractors and the diverse requirements of awarding agencies.

The Scenario Manager also includes functionality for saving constructed scenarios, with the capability to save multiple scenarios per solicitation.

The FedScore platform is primarily built around the ability of the Matchability Score to match federal contractors to Federal Departments and independent Federal Agencies, and their constituent organizational sub-units. Due to this, it is essential to choose a default company for your profile in order to ensure optimum functionality of the platform’s offerings. The companies included in our database of vendors are identified by their DUNS^® Number(s) and not by the company name. Hence, it is possible for the same company to have multiple DUNS^® Numbers and each account created on FedScore must be associated with a particular DUNS^® Number.
